taking a chance
In 2006 I had walked away from the corporate 9-5 grind to follow my dream of starting my own design agency. I began freelancing out of my small SF apartment and producing some hats, tees and stickers to promote myself. Eventually I found myself being overtaken by boxes of product. I decided to take a chance on renting an office with a small retail space to get the clutter out of my apartment and give myself some breathing room. It was never my plan to have a retail space but after the overwhelming success of our first pop-up store it became clear to me. This is the hand painted sign we created to separate the design studio and retail space. Who visited our first location on that little side street in the Mission?
