Another year is about to close out. I spent the holiday in LA skating with friends, visiting family and taking a nice break from work. I hope you all had a great holiday! I'm really looking forward to the new year and the possibilities it holds.

Felt great to get away for a few days and get some solid skate days in. Smith grind up at the new Dyrdek skate plaza. He is building amazing parks in LA. Rob, we need some in SF!

True is the original streetwear store in San Francisco. It is the store that all the local brands measured their success by getting them to stock your line. True has been around and helped grow the scene in the bay area for many years. I am really proud to have them offer the Benny Gold brand in both their SF and Walnut Creak stores.
Does this mean we finally are a success? Only time will tell. I do feel a step closer knowing that True us backing us.
I have been working out of my home office for the past 7+ years. The Benny Gold Brand started with just a random sticker to put up around town on my adventures. There was no money behind it, no investors just a sticker on a light pole or newspaper machine. I am proud to see how it has grown since then. You can do anything if you put your mind to it! I recently signed a lease on our first official head quarters. We move in on the 1st of the new year. I couldn't think of a better way to start the year!
Here are some pics of the space as is. It's a 2 floor free standing building in the mission district of SF. All the classic details really attracted me to the space. I still need to get in there to clean it up and give it that golden touch.

I'm very proud to present these new sticker designs and colors. I'm especially excited to get the B.Gold bumper stickers into the streets. The idea came from the mantra "Stay Gold" and keeping that way regardless of age. Our youth mentality and the things we hold dear are the real gold inside all of us.
The Benny Gold brand grew from the same formula and I eventually adopted Gold as part of my name as a promise to remain young while not losing sight of the things I cherish. These stickers are subtle reminders meant to live on stop signs, newspapers machines, bathroom walls, and of course... t-shirts.
Thank you to everyone out there that believes in it as much as I do — stay young till you die!
On a side note — I couldn't help but make some Gorilla Biscuit styled stickers from our collab with The Hundreds. GB was my favorite band as a kid and their positive attitude fits well with my rant about youth.

Everyone knows Vegas for the parties, the gambling and tradeshows. Do you know that Vegas is also home to a great boutique named KNYEW? The last time I was there I stopped by the store to see what they have going on and talk about bringing the Benny Gold line in. They house a ton of great brands and I am pleased to now have our line stocked their as well. The next time you are in Vegas for whatever reason stop by their shop you will be happy you did!
Rebel8 and I wanted to offer something exclusive to a few key store accounts this holiday season. These stores have fully supported the brand over the past year and we wanted to thank them. The hat is part of the collaboration between Rebel8 and Benny Gold. This special holiday colorway is Black and Crime Scene Orange to push the "Partners in Crime" theme. The color is also a take on the SF Giants black and orange team colors since we are both from this great city!

This weekend we headed out to Sacramento, Ca to celebrate with the Lucky Lefty's family for their one year anniversary. A year goes by really fast. It seams like yesterday when they contacted us about carrying the line in their upcoming boutique. I am glad they were interested in us because over the year they have grown to be one of the strongest retailers in the area with a very impressive stocklist. Here is to another year and many more. Congrats guys!
A few months back I was invited By the Savannah College of Art and Design to give a lecture to their graphic design class. While I was there we filmed a series of interviews to help promote their design program. Being an alumni from the college I was more then excited to be a part of it.
If you are serious about pursing graphic design as a career I highly recommend attending art school. It really helped me get focused. Before I went to college I had no idea what I wanted to do and for that I am forever grateful.
