It's been a busy week to say the least. I hustled to get all the
online shop orders out before the holiday weekend. UPS was not happy when they showed up to a stack of boxes like this day after day this week. My hand hurts from writing a few hundreds thank you notes and I made a bunch of last minute trips to the store to replenish my dwindling box supply. It's all worth it and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Have a great holiday weekend. I'll see you next week!

Launch Your Own Brand
The new issue of
Computer Arts Magazine is on the newstands now. The issue is dedicated to designers starting their own brands. They were nice enough to showcase some of our products on the cover. I also gave some insight and concepts behind a few pieces for the inside spreads. If you just starting your own brand, thinking about it or well established this issue is not to be missed!

Freshly added to the
online shop is our
Velocity Deep-V bike rim collaboration. We only have a few sets available and they are $100 cheaper then they will be in select Velocity retailers. Production is limited to 200 exclusive sets!
The 2tone rim features one side in Gold and the other in Black, with each rim boasting a gold colored aluminum card and custom sticker. The black section of the card is chemically etched into the metal and each card has the set number directly punched into the metal. They are

Benny Gold x Rebel8 "Partners in Crime" New Era
By now you probably have heard of the "Partners in Crime" New Era that I have been working on with
Rebel8. We have been talking about it over
twitter and other forums for awhile. We have been giving sneak peaks of the process as it progressed. Well, here are the official photos.
Quantities are limited: I have 88, and they have 88. I am really stoked on how these came out! Gold embroidery, printed satin liner, but still classy, clean and wearable.
The hats will be available on 9am Friday, November 20, 2009 in our
store and Rebel8's site exclusively for $48.00 each.
Knit Beanies and Scout Belts
The other day I showed the shirts for the holiday season. Here is a look at the knit beanies and canvas scout belts that are also part of the drop. Scout belts have a polished gold die-cut buckle with embossed signature belt tip. The beanies are a tight knit beanie with metallic gold embroidery. Everything will be back up in the
shop when it is relaunched

Dealer in Gold: Viera Ride Shop in Melbourne, Fl
Another new
dealer in gold this season is a great skate shop in Melbourne Florida called
Viera Ride shop. They are located on the Space coast of Florida. As a kid I used to head that way to check out Kennedy Space Center with my family. They are the premier location for sneakers, skate goods, apparel and now an authorized Benny Gold account.

Birthday Weekend (25 Years Rolling)
I stopped counting how old I am on birthday awhile ago and I just started marking the years I have been on a skateboard. Every year I set up a new board and write the years I have been skating on the grip tape. 25 years ago I got my first real skateboard as a birthday gift. I have been infatuated with it ever since. Skateboarding has meant more to me then anything else in my life. It has lead me to California to pursue graphic design and eventually start the brand. It's my birthday and I have continued to roll another year. Catch me in the streets this week and wish me many more years to come.
P.S. I recently learned Back Smith Grinds. it's never to late to keep progressing!

Just the Beginning..
Really glad everything is finally making it's way to the shops. It's been hard work getting it all out.
Kingdom in Stockton and Union City are some of the first to put the new line on the shelves and its already
moving fast. I will get the new season photographed this week and up for you to see it all together.
Light at the End of the Tunnel
This is the week that the new line hits the stores (finally)! I can't even begin to tell you how stoked pictures like this are to me! It's awesome to see everything lined up and heading out to the shops. The clothing line has grown with more shirts being offered (It started with 1 shirt in 1 shop not too long ago), larger distribution into select stores and the expansion into accessories. There is more to come and I appreciate you all being a part of it!
