New fitted hats dropping for fall. I'll give you a hint – it's a new version of a hat that has been long gone, but I get requests all the time from people trying to track one down.

Desired Hearts Rebrand

Charitable Texas brand Desired Hearts hired me to rebrand their line and design a season of t-shirts for their relaunch. They just put up a new site with the D Heart Icon, I created for them and a sneak peak of the upcoming shirts. You can see some of the shirt ideas in my sketches also. I'll make sure to show the rest when they are released.

It's The Real Gold

BG Shirt spotted on Its The Real. A Hilarious Hip Hop inspired NY Jewish sketch comedy. Remember when Wale rocked the same shirt? Maybe The Midas shirt needs to be reissued. Thanks for the heads up Slim!

Creativity

Street skating is dying. It is getting pushed into the skate parks and out of the streets. Skate stoppers and security is everywhere now. When I was younger we had free run of the streets and we able to shape skating creatively to adapt to our surroundings. Skate parks are clean, perfect and there is nothing to think about. No variables like bums and cracks to make you figure out a way to skate the spot. Recently the hand poured quarter pipe and grind bar has been removed from the famous SF spot 3rd & Army. I hope this is not the end if SF's rich street skating history especially with the new city planned parks going in.

Logo Tattoos

Every once in awhile, people will send me pics of tattoos inspired by my logo designs (Huf and Mash). Yesterday, someone from Miami showed me his tattoo of the Benny Gold paper plane icon! I'm honored and blown away...if anyone else has an affiliated logo, I'd love to see it! Glider or paper plane logo tattoos will definitely get you a box of free products - ha!

Fall Camp Hats

Here is a first look the 5 panel camp hats that are coming out this fall. The details on them are really nice. Custom printed fabric, gold eyelet detailing and tags. There will also be a few matching accessories dropping with them. I'll post pics of those when the samples come in as well.

Common Magazine Anniversary Issue

Japanese magazine Common releases their 3 year anniversary issue. They ran a nice feature on me in the issue. It highlights the keychains we collaborated on for their anniversary that will be available on my site next month.

Sticker Pack Update

Thank you to everyone that ordered the new 3M stickers. I finally got some time to send them out. I have been slammed with client work and deadlines, so I apologize for the delay. They are on their way to you know. When you get them upload a pic to the flickr group. It will show up on the right side of the site when you do. Neat huh?

Product Testing

This weekend me and a few friends took the sample paper plane skate wax out for some field testing. Travis Jensen came nice with the photos and me and my boy hoops put the product to the test.

Mash X Cinelli

It's been almost a year since I previewed the Mash X Cinelli frame. The final production is finally here are now available in bike shops worldwide. I was responsible for the visual design and look of the frame. The custom paint and frame stickers are meant to resemble the shape of the Mash lighting bolt and give the bike a feeling of speed. Cinelli’s classic head badge worked perfect with the mash shield and I snuck one of my paper plane logos onto the bottom of the frame. It's cool to know that all these frames are hitting the shops with a paper plane on them!

New Stickers In!

Stickers go fast from me sending them out with every online order, filling sticker packs or putting them up on daily adventures. This run of stickers was printed in metallic silver, hunter green and black. I also have been out of "Works For Jerks" and "In Gold We Trust' Designs for awhile. It's good to have them back.

Accessories Preview

In-between client work and deadlines I have been expanding the bg house brand. I have been experimenting with accessories and some other unique products that make sense for the brand. Here is a sneak peak of a few things that are getting close. You have already seen the candles, skate wax and handmade key chains. There is still more to come.

The Kingdom is Expanding

A big congratulations goes out to our friends at Kingdom for opening their second location in Union City. You can now get the BG brand at at both their Stockton and Union City locations. Thanks for putting us up on the window. It's greatly appreciated! Check out a great write up they got in the SF Examiner.

Common Gold Argyle Keychain

Here is the first look at a product I am really excited about. I got together with Japans Common Magazine to produce a set of leather keychains to commemorate their 3 year anniversary. The quality of the leather is amazing! It is the same leather that used on the bottom of high end dress shoe soles so you know it is going to last and get better with age. They are produced by hand in Japan and only 3 can be made a day. These 3 colors (red, black and navy) will only be available on my site next month in a limited run of 79 (atomic weight of gold). 3 other colors will be released in japan at the same time.
