House of Commons Visit

The best thing about the Trade Shows is meeting up with the stores that stock the line. Without the stores there would be no line. While I was in Vegas I had the pleasure to meet up with Joseph and Saskai of House of Commons. They have a great store in Las Vegas. The store is beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice selection of bike specific pieces mixed in with the rest of it. They were so welcoming to us and took time out of their day to show us around a bit. If you find yourself in Vegas House of Commons is a must. Thanks guys! Is that a random doughboy sitting on the shelf next to Blvck Scvle?

I spent last week in Sin City for the Magic Trade Show. Check out some pics from the show at Steelo Hero. I mostly went to meet the shops that stock the line BG line, but you never know what can come out of a trade show.

VIMBY - Benny Gold

I just got back from Las Vegas. A few days of walking around a trade show tires you out. I was pleasantly surprised to find this video waiting for me when I got back. Satva, from Vimby was nice enough to come through and do a studio tour of my office and then hit the streets for a skate session. The video is a day in my life - welcome to my backyard. I am NEVER going to grow up.

Spring / Summer 09 Preview

Striped Fitteds For Spring

The Spring line is on it's way. Here is a look at the New Era fitteds that are dropping with the rest of the line. They are available in 3 colorways and all of them are made of a custom designed pattern. More on the Spring line soon.

Xpoz Magazine

Arizona has a lot going on right now. The High Point store is killing it, a new clothing venture named Dearly Departed is making moves and Xpoz Magazine is putting out a really good publication. I might be a little biased because I am involved in all 3 things, but I am really impressed with what's coming out of Az. right now. Check the new issue of Xpoz Magazine, for quick interview they did with me and keep an eye out on the Grand Canyon State for big things.

City Grounds Logo

I recently designed a logo for a new bike shop in Long Beach, Ca. City Grounds caters to the fixed gear city cyclist, so I combined a city building with a bicycle tire as the head badge for their logo — the tire treads work well as the windows for the building. I'm drawn to logos that push the brand concept by combining two objects that don't normally go together. Next time you're in Long Beach, stop by the shop and have a look around.

Brixton Spring 09 Out Now

The new Brixton catalog is out and look who ended up in it. They were nice enough to ask me to be a part of it. It looks like my dog Levi stole the shot thou. Thanks to Gabe Morford for taking the portrait.
